Deer Hide. It deals 35 pierce, blocks for 12, trains Spears and holds 100 durability over four quality levels, gaining 6 pierce per level. The primary attack is a thrust with 1.9 meters of reach at 8 stamina; the secondary throws the spear itself for 1.5x damage at 10 stamina and leaves it on the ground to be picked up. Spears backstab for 3x and cost 5% movement speed to carry.
Past quality 4, the Forge of Potential will take it one level further for 1 Bronze Battle Idol plus 13 Wood, 18 Bronze and 4 Deer Hide. No other station asks for the idol.

Each quality level adds 6 damage and 50 durability. Quality 2 costs the per-level amount, quality 3 twice that and quality 4 four times, so the last level is more than half of the total.
