Each roll picks one weather by these weights. Every weather outside the Ashlands is cold at night away from a fire, so the icons only mark rain that makes you Wet and weather that freezes. The Mountain freezes in any weather and the Deep North around the clock.

How the weather is decided

The game rolls the weather every 666 seconds of world time, which is 8.9 hours on the sun's clock. The roll is seeded by the clock alone, not by the world seed, so day 120 on your server has the same rain in the Meadows as day 120 in anyone else's world. That's why this page can show it without knowing your seed.

Every biome reads the same roll against its own list, and most lists put their fair weather first. A high roll is bad weather nearly everywhere at once: whenever the Meadows turn, the Plains do too, the Black Forest does 95% of the time and the Mistlands 85%. The Ocean is the odd one out, because its clear sky sits in the middle of its list, so a storm on land is a coin flip at sea. Wind is separate: a direction and a strength that shift every 125 seconds, scaled by the weather you are in, so a Meadows clear sky never blows harder than 60% and a thunderstorm never drops below 80%.

Some things override the forecast where you stand. A raid brings its own weather, boss arenas and dungeons have fixed ones, the sea inside the Ashlands is always storming, and Dark Meadows patches never roll clear skies. Sleeping skips to the next morning, so the day number you wake up to is the one to type in. Console commands can also change the time.
