Root Fang is a bow made at the Black Forge by fitting one 
Ash Fang with one 
Jade and 5 
Flametal. It deals 82 pierce and 10 poison, trains Bows, has 300 durability and costs 5% movement speed to carry, gaining 4 pierce and 5 spirit a quality level to reach 94 pierce and 15 spirit at quality 4. Its arrows carry a 20% chance to immobilise what they hit. The conversion resets the bow to quality 1, so upgrade it after fitting the gemstone.
Past quality 4, the Forge of Potential will take it one level further for 1 Flametal Battle Idol plus 22 Flametal and 4 Jade. No other station asks for the idol.

Each quality level adds 9 damage and 50 durability. Quality 2 costs the per-level amount, quality 3 twice that and quality 4 four times, so the last level is more than half of the total.
