Lox is a tameable Plains grazer with 1,000 health that bites for 130 slash in a 5.5 meter arc every 4 seconds and rears up to stomp for 120 blunt in a 2.5 meter circle every 12 seconds. Blunt, slash and frost are resisted and spirit does nothing, but fire is a clean weakness. It is tamed with Cloudberries, Barley or Flax, breeds once a pair is tame, and takes a 
Lox Saddle to become a mount that steers with the camera and has no reverse. Because herds drift back to the same ground, scattering cloudberries and leaving the area is a workable way to tame several at once well before Plains gear. Each kill gives 4 to 6 Lox Meat and 2 to 3 Lox Pelt, with the 
Lox Trophy at 10 percent.
Their bite reaches over five meters and the stomp flattens whatever gets missed by it, but they are slow to turn: circle to the flank and stay there. Blunt and slash bounce; pierce and fire work. Or skip the fight, since a tamed one carries you across the Plains ignoring deathsquitos entirely.
Scatter cloudberries, barley or flax where a herd grazes and keep your distance; no pen holds an angry lox, so distance is the pen. Once tame, a saddle makes it a mount and a walking siege engine.

Each 64 m zone keeps its own timer per entry and rolls the chance once per interval while loaded; a zone never loaded before rolls the moment you arrive. The spawn lands 40 to 80 m from a player, never inside a base unless noted, and "max near you" counts the loaded area around that zone. Dungeon and camp spawners are separate and not counted here.
