Arbalest

A slow but powerful weapon.

Arbalest is a crossbow crafted at the Black Forge from 10 Wood, 8 Iron and 4 Root. It deals 200 pierce and 140 chop, blocks for 3, trains Crossbows and has 150 durability, gaining 3 pierce per quality level to quality 4. A bolt has to be loaded before each shot, which takes 3.5 seconds and resets if you jump or sprint; firing the loaded bolt costs no stamina. Bolts travel far faster than arrows and fly flat instead of arcing, and holding the crossbow costs 5% movement speed.

Each quality level adds 3 damage and 50 durability. Quality 2 costs the per-level amount, quality 3 twice that and quality 4 four times, so the last level is more than half of the total.
