The first man in Midgard knew how to guard his most vital organs, perhaps with a breastplate just like this one.
Breastplate of Ask is a chest armour piece forged at the Black Forge from 15 
Linen Thread, 4 
Lox Pelt and 10 
Asksvin Hide. It gives 28 armour, 2 more per quality level to 34 at quality 4, on 1000 durability, and takes nothing off movement speed. Worn with 
Trousers of Ask and the 
Hood of Ask it completes the Ask set, whose bonus cuts the stamina cost of running.
Past quality 4, the Forge of Potential will take it one level further for 1 Flametal Protection Idol plus 45 Linen Thread, 9 Lox Pelt and 22 Asksvin Hide. No other station asks for the idol.

Each quality level adds 2 armor and 200 durability. Quality 2 costs the per-level amount, quality 3 twice that and quality 4 four times, so the last level is more than half of the total.
With devcommands enabled, this drops Breastplate of Ask at your feet. The ID is case sensitive; the last number is the amount.
