Writhan Roots
The gnarled body parts of a strange, offputting creature.
Writhan Roots are a crafting material dropped 1 to 2 at a time by
Writhan, doubled per star. Writhan only spawns on swamp 2,000 to 8,000 m from the centre of the world, so a swamp near spawn never has one. Three recipes consume the roots, the
Shield of Roots, the
Lox Fur Hood and the Birds' Nest, and the first kill unlocks the
Crown of Roots at the Bog Witch. They stack to 50.
Writhan only spawns on swamp 2 to 8 km from the centre of the world, and each zone rolls once when first loaded. The full rule is on the Writhan page.
With devcommands enabled, this drops Writhan Roots at your feet. The ID is case sensitive; the last number is the amount.
