Chain. It blocks for 78, carries 10 blunt damage, has 200 durability, upgrades to quality 3 and trains Blocking. It blocks 26 less than the 
Black Metal Tower Shield but can parry, which no tower shield can. It weighs 5 and costs 5% movement speed.
Past quality 3, the Forge of Potential will take it one level further for 1 Black Metal Protection Idol plus 40 Finewood, 16 Black Metal and 8 Chain. No other station asks for the idol.
