Black Metal Protection Idol is the tier 4 upgrade material for armour, called for by 13 recipes and consumed only at the Forge of Potential, one per attempt to push a finished piece past its normal quality cap. It rolls at 2.72% on Hildir's Plains chest table, and also comes from Plains ruins and stone houses, Fuling towers, Mountain caves and log cabins. This is the one tier that also drops from a destructible rather than a chest, the goblin trash piles inside Fuling towers. Armour above this tier calls for the Black Marble Protection Idol instead.
