Breastplate of the Protector
Fur and hide and metal all work in tandem to ward off an enemy's blows.
Breastplate of the Protector is a chest armour piece with no bench recipe of its own:

Mould: Breastplate of the Protector, then hardened into the finished piece at a Frost Foundry, which burns 
Liquid Frost for 50 seconds to do it. It gives 44 armour, 2 more per quality level to 50 at quality 4, on 1000 durability, the highest rating of any chest piece in the game. It costs no movement speed, and with 
Trousers of the Protector and the 
Helmet of the Protector the set totals 132 armour.
No bench makes this outright. The station recipe below only upgrades it; the piece itself is cast from a mould and hardened at a Frost Foundry.
50 seconds burning Liquid Frost turns the cast into the finished Breastplate of the Protector. Upgrades then happen at the Black Forge, level 5 and up.

Past quality 4, the Forge of Potential will take it one level further for 1 Bloodgold Protection Idol plus 67 Bloodgold, 13 Moose Hide and 13 Leather Straps. No other station asks for the idol.

Each quality level adds 2 armor and 200 durability. Quality 2 costs the per-level amount, quality 3 twice that and quality 4 four times, so the last level is more than half of the total.
With devcommands enabled, this drops Breastplate of the Protector at your feet. The ID is case sensitive; the last number is the amount.
