Nidhögg

Named after the evil dragon that dwells by the roots of the world tree, this sword heralds doom for those who cross its path.

Nidhögg is a one-handed sword forged at the Black Forge from 3 Charred Bone, 12 Flametal and 2 Asksvin Hide. It deals 135 slash, blocks for 57, trains Swords and has 300 durability, gaining 6 slash a level to reach 153 at quality 4. The primary is a three-swing chain with double damage on the last hit at 16 stamina a swing; the secondary is a lunging thrust for triple damage at 28. Fitting a gemstone at the Black Forge converts it into Nidhögg the Bleeding, Nidhögg the Thundering or Nidhögg the Primal, and the conversion drops the weapon back to quality 1, so fit the gem before spending flametal on upgrades.

Each quality level adds 6 damage and 50 durability. Quality 2 costs the per-level amount, quality 3 twice that and quality 4 four times, so the last level is more than half of the total.
