The almost unbreakable carapace of your enemies makes an excellent shield.

Carapace Shield is a round shield crafted at the Black Forge from 20 Carapace, 3 Scale Hide and 10 Refined Eitr. It blocks for 96, carries 10 blunt damage, has 250 durability, upgrades to quality 3 and trains Blocking. It blocks 18 more than the Carapace Buckler and parries for less. It weighs 5 and costs 5% movement speed.

Past quality 3, the Forge of Potential will take it one level further for 1 Black Marble Protection Idol plus 40 Carapace, 12 Scale Hide and 12 Refined Eitr. No other station asks for the idol.
