This mysterious idol is brimming with the potential of the gods. It could grant a powerful boon, or demand a great sacrifice.

Bronze Protection Idol is the tier 1 upgrade material for armour, called for by 14 recipes and consumed only at the Forge of Potential, one per attempt to push a finished piece past its normal quality cap. It is chest loot only, at 2.29% a roll on the Black Forest table from ruins, stone houses and Burial Chambers, with thinner odds in Meadows houses, ship settings and troll caves. Armour above this tier calls for the Iron Protection Idol instead.
